Longhorn Ignorance
I happen to agree with
Microsoft Monitor's post: "people do not know about Microsoft Longhorn."
"her initial reaction is telling, and not so unusual. I've asked more and
more regular folks about Windows Longhorn, and most are simply clueless. They
haven't heard about it. The point: Industry folks, news media and bloggers
obsess too much about Longhorn delays
or even Microsoft ripping out some
promised features. There are plenty of people that know nothing about
Longhorn. That's the good news for Microsoft. Flipside, the bad news, is that
people like this woman might be happy campers with
Windows XP and shy about upgrades."
Actually, Microsoft shut down people from talking and blogging
about Longhorn. Otherwise, more people would know about it. Oh well,
given time, people will read, hear, and even try Longhorn. It's just a
matter of Microsoft opening up and letting out more information.
